What is structured literacy?

A structured literacy intervention focuses on improving a student’s reading and writing skills. This approach uses phonology language and literacy skills, typically through an approach involving phonological and phonemic awareness, letter/sound correspondence, syllable division, morphology, syntax, and semantics.
